As part of The Terry Project, K’naan made an appearance at the University of British Columbia’s Chan Centre. Amidst a humorous Q&A, K’naan performed an acoustic version of Fatima which was a brief glimpse of his witty and fantastic live persona. Many of the questions brought up dealt with his life in Somalia, his music as well as some hot political topics. Of note was what he is currently listening to, and on that list is: “The Cave” by Mumford & Sons as well as a “shitload” of The Beatles. Let’s see how his concert goes tomorrow night at the Malkin Bowl.
