With The 2 Bears‘ debut album Be Strong having dropped only a few days ago, it seems appropriate that Hot Chip‘s other side project would enter the spotlight. New Build, which consists of Hot Chip’s Al Doyle and Felix Martin alongside composer and engineer Tom Hopkins, have announced that their debut LP is titled Yesterday Was Live and Lost, and will see an official release on April 3rd via Lanark Recordings. For those don’t remember, the group’s first single “Finding Reasons” was released in September of last year, and, along with the announcement, the group have put forth a four-track preview of the upcoming studio release. If the preview displays anything, it is that New Build knows what they want to sound like, and they’re doing a damn good job of doing so. You can stream the four-track preview below, and look forward to more news regarding New Build and their debut album in the coming months.
