While Future Unlimited may sound like the name of a software company from the ’80s, the Nashville duo consisting of David Miller and Samuel D’Amelio is far from that, but they sure as hell take a considerable amount of influence from the decade of unfortunate hairstyles and Ray-Ban sunglasses. The synth-pop duo have taken all their influences from the ’80s, and it shows in their music. Their debut single “Golden,” which premiered on Consequence of Sound yesterday, evokes everything that was great about ’80s synth-pop, with flashy synths and crooning Bowie-esque vocals abound.
